Volunteering not only benefits the organization and community, but also provides personal benefits such as building new skills, making new connections, and improving mental health. Join MCMS and see the positive impact you can make.
With a good range of tools in both our Wood and Metal Workshops there are opportunities to make things for yourself or our Shop & Gallery.
The two Hobby rooms are well under development for a range of activities such as a model railway track, boat, plane model assembling and even bring along your Lego bricks. We are also pioneering plastic bottle top recycling.
Since moving to 1 Morilla Road we have run learning experiences for working with sheet-metal (Guillotine, magnetic bender, notcher) Have just commenced a four way welding experience (Stick, MIG, TIG and Gas Brazing) and have plans to demonstrate and instruct in the use of CNC (Computer Numerical Control) of Laser Cutters and Routers.
Membership is $100 (Plus $10 Joining fee) per financial year (with half price in the second half of the financial year) Along with a low amenities fee of $2 at each attendance log in at our reception.

Our Shop & Gallery is used to displays items made by our members. Some items are offered for sale on commission.

At our Shop & Gallery we display our works and offer some for sale.

We offer a range of volunteer opportunities for men of all ages. Whether you have a few hours or a long-term commitment, your support makes a difference. Recently a member made this park bench for a CWA group.

An example of a recently undertaken renovation (As this item has always been on display in the grounds of both our Shed locations).

We specialise in bicycle and small engine repairs such as mowers, chainsaws & edgers. Along with interesting and challenging woodwork repairs & renovations, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
